Practitioner performs a safety vault

The easiest vault to learn, a form of quadrapedal motion. Often useful for beginners because of the simplicity and peace of mind given by the aid of the foot. Also useful for when momentum is lost such as in a high wall pass.

Technique

  1. Run up to obstacle
  2. Place both hands on the obstacle
  3. Place the outside foot on the obstacle
  4. Release the arm that is closest to the legs
  5. Then come down by pushing with the foot and release the other hand
  6. Run out or move smoothly to next obstacle
